Shadow – Suzy Lee (2010)

One little girl, in a garage, with a bare lightbulb and a vivid imagination.

Using the shadows which the lightbulb casts upon a garage full of stuff, one little girl enters a whole new world.

Similar to Wave, here Lee is rendering in black, white, grey, and yellow.

The monochrome colour scheme is incredibly effective. Lee also arranges the book so it opens horizontally rather than vertically, allowing for larger, landscape coverage.

A really interesting change of perspective, however it becomes a little challenging to balance turning the book with interpreting the action on the page.
