The Long Way Home vol.1 – Joss Whedon & Georges Jeanty (2007)

Now as any avid Buffyite knows devastation hit when the show ended in Season Seven.

Our beloved Joss had not intended to end the series that way, but budget and ratings have the ability to force even amazing things to come to an end.

Enter Season Eight.

With Whedon’s writing and Jeanty’s drawings we have the characters we know and love, an unlimited special effects budget, and the resolution that Whedon had planned (at a fraction of the cost).

As with the other Buffy Season premiers the viewer is thrown in medias rest (in the middle of things, sorry, my English Lit degree is showing), so we as the reader are unclear about certain aspects.

But after reading the first volume I can’t wait to read the rest.
